There are substantial tax credits available for commercial buildings to help pay for improvements in building energy efficiency. The current tax credit of up to $1.80 per square foot runs through the year 2013. Before you claim your tax credit, you must obtain a certification from a qualified independent and licensed engineer stating that your project meets the requirements of 179D(c)(1) of the tax code. We can help you determine which Federal tax credits you may claim and then provide the needed certification.
